Project case: 400KW(500KVA) Natural Gas Generators

1. Overview

1.1 Site Condition

The project is located in ARMENIA, and the customer's gas source is natural gas, which meets the gas requirements of Weichai gas engine.  Set the ambient conditions as follows: ambient temperature -30 ° C to 40 ° C, sea wave ≤1000 m, ambient humidity ≤90%. 

1.2 Solution Configuration Overview:

According to the requirement of Customer, The scheme is equipped with one units of SW550NGFJ continuous power ≥320kW, rated power 400kW, Supermaly-Weichai Container Type natural gas generator set. 

The genset is equipped with Weichai 6M33D450E310NG gas engine, Leroy Somer TAL-A473-C 400KW, pure copper brushless self-excited 400V, 50Hz generator, 50℃aluminum Cooling radiator for heat dissipation, Chint molded case circuit breaker and SmartGen HGM6120CAN single machine control module module. Genset can choose open frame type or Container type. The open frame type is installed building. Container type can be used outdoor. The Circuit breaker and control module will be installed on outer surface of container.

Introduction to Main Equipment:

2.1 Characteristics of OWELL genset:

Gas engine and generator with their own flywheel shell-connecting flange, flywheel-elastic connecting plate positioning stop positioning, connection, so as to ensure the transmission height concentric, smooth operation;  The cooling system of the engine adopts vertical water tank, the cooling fan adopts the suction type electric fan, which directly exhausts the air and is not affected by the environmental wind direction. The inter-cooler adopts the air-air cooler, which has a better inter-cooling effect and prevents the inter-cooler burst phenomenon caused by the intake pressure fluctuation of the gas engine. 

2.2. Weichai 6M33 Natural Gas Engine:

Weichai 6M33D450E310NG gas engine, developed on the basis of French Baudouin technology, adopts Wood Ward PG ignition control system, the thermal efficiency can reach 39.7%, the comprehensive performance is superior.  This model perfectly integrates the fine genes of Weichai and Baudouin, and has been well received by the majority of users as soon as it is introduced to the market. It is widely used in the leasing of oil fields and gas power stations.

2.3. Leroy Somer Alternator:

The Alternators are made in China. The company was established in France in 1919. The company has more than 8,700 employees and is the world's top generator manufacturer. The production plant is located in Fuzhou, China.

The Alternator complies with the following main international standards and regulations:

2.4. Container:

The containers used in this project are standard containers, with dimensions of 6058 * 2438 * 2591mm. The container size is the same as a 20 foot standard sea freight container and requires various transportation requirements such as sea, land, and rail transportation. The interior of the container is insulated with porous rock wool boards to reduce noise. The operation panel and output are both located on the side of the container, with emergency stop protection buttons on the side.

Detailed configuration:

The interior of the container adopts 50mm rock wool porous plate for noise reduction, insulation, and insulation;

4mm bean shaped steel plates are laid on the bottom plate of the container, and the main load-bearing points of the steel plates are added with profiles to improve strength;

The container is equipped with a 220V conventional lighting system and a 24V emergency lighting system;

Install fire detectors and smoke alarm systems inside the container; And set up 2 manual fire extinguishers;

There is a gas leakage alarm inside the container to ensure the installation of the genset operation;

The secondary coating of the container ensures anti-corrosion performance.
